A Night at the Theatre on July 10th

Jess Schrage will be the vocal soloist when the Fond du Lac Symphonic Band presents “A Night at the Theatre” at the Wifler Performance Center in Buttermilk Creek Park. The concert will also feature two vocal duets by Dan Fee and Norm Francis (originally programmed for the July 4th concert that was canceled due to weather).

The concert will begin at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, under the direction of Music Director Evan Chancellor. Ms. Schrage will perform I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables and Non So Piu from the opera, “The Marriage of Figaro.”

Other selections include the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Serenade from The Student Prince, Irving Berlin Showstoppers, Hans Zimmer Movie Milestones, Hamilton Suite, If I Only Had a Brain from Wizard of Oz, and The Goldman Band march.
The Symphonic Band’s Buttermilk Creek Park concerts are sponsored by the City of Fond du Lac, along with free-will offerings that are received during each concert. A food concession is available, and In the event of unsuitable weather, the performance will be held at the Recreation Building at the County Fairgrounds.
Next on the Buttermilk Festival music calendar will be the Fond du Lac High School and Middle School summer bands in their 7th festival appearance on July 17. On Thursday, July 11, the Symphonic Band will travel to Campbellsport for their annual appearance at Firemen’s Park, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
