Drums Over Fond du Lac

Drums Over Fond du Lac  will wrap up the 30th anniversary season of the Buttermilk Festival in Buttermilk Creek Park on Wednesday, August 22. The 7:15 p.m. performance by the Fond du Lac Symphonic Band will feature the SCAPE Percussion Ensemble from Milwaukee.

The founding members of the Spring City Area Percussion Ensemble (SCAPE) have reunited to perform in Fond du Lac.  Each of the six musicians performs in the percussion section of the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band (WASB), and is a member of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS). In the 1990’s, they were marching members of Drum Brigade, the “lead-off” musical group for the annual Great Circus Parade in downtown Milwaukee. They have also been guest performers with numerous bands and ensembles in Southeastern Wisconsin, and as free-lance percussionists, they are each “on-call” in the Greater Milwaukee Area and beyond.
