The Fond du Lac Symphonic Band will perform at Firemen’s Park in Campbellsport on Thursday, July 14. The evening will open with a short concert by the Fond du Lac Senior Center SCAMP Band, beginning at 6:15 p.m. The Symphonic Band’s music will start at 7:30 p.m.
Vocalist Eva Thelen Dunphy will sing selections from Mary Poppins, and band manager Mary Arthur will be the piccolo “whistler” on Whistler and His Dog. The trumpets will be featured in Trumpeters’ Lullaby, and the coming Olympic games will be acknowledged with Olympic Fanfares.
Also on the program are Highlights from The Hunger Games, Disney Movie Magic, and Swinging Songs of Yesterday. Veterans will be recognized with the Armed Forces Salute, and the program will close with two Sousa marches: Washington Post and Stars and Stripes Forever.
